El 9, 10 y 11 de Julio se celebró en Liverpool la 5º Conferencia internacional sobre Transition Towns. Mas de 250 personas de 12 nacionalidades se reunieron para charlar, debatir, aprender y compartir sus experiencias durante casi tres dias. Decenas de talleres sobre monedas locales, alimentación, energía, activismo, educación, etc, tuvieron lugar en unas jornadas muy intensas, festivas y gratificantes en las que se evidenció la internacionalización y crecimiento de este movimiento de caracter positivo y propositivo que busca la transición a un mundo resiliente y no dependiente del petróleo.
El último dia de las jornadas junto con Duncan Crowley, compañero de Barcelona en Transició, pudimos realizar una charla improvisada sobre el movimiento 15M en España que fue todo un éxito. Por extraño que parezca de todo lo que se ha estado viviendo en España apenas les ha llegado información y se quedaron bastante impactados. Desde luego la transición puede comenzar de muchas maneras diferentes.
